Wishlist Guru has introduced a Counter Feature on the Product Page that shows how many times a product has been added to users’ wishlists. This creates a sense of popularity and social proof, encouraging others to add the item to their own wishlists or purchase it. It’s a great way to highlight trending products in your store.
The Counter Feature displays the number of times a product has been added to the wishlist next to the “Add to Wishlist” button. This provides customers with real-time insights into the popularity of products.
Customisation Options: #

You have full control over how this feature is displayed in your store. The counter can be easily managed via the Button Settings, where you can:
- Increase and Decrease the Counter: You can allow the counter to reflect both increases and decreases in the number of wishlist adds. As customers add or remove products from their wishlists, the counter will adjust accordingly, keeping the number accurate.
- Increase and Disable: If you prefer to show only the increase in product popularity without allowing the counter to decrease (for example, to maintain positive social proof), you can enable this setting. This will ensure that once a product is added to a wishlist, the count only goes up.
- Off: If you’d prefer not to display the counter at all, you can simply disable the feature from the Button Settings. This gives you the flexibility to decide whether or not you want to showcase this level of engagement with your products.
